The beauty of the Kirk in the Hills Preschool extends far beyond its majestic church and its meticulously landscaped grounds. Inside is an idyllic environment in which all four of our children have been fortunate to learn, play and grow. The Kirk has educated all aspects of our boys, giving them every opportunity from literacy, math, and science lessons to art, music and Bible stories – not to mention plenty of time for play and many choices. The teachers provide a caring, Christian environment; not only have our boys grown academically, creatively and socially, but also spiritually during their years here. The Kirk encourages family involvement, so it didn’t take long for our entire family to grow attached to the loving teachers who have played such an influential role in our boys’ early years of life. We are forever grateful to the Kirk for providing a warm, caring, happy environment where our children could not wait to arrive each school day. We will leave here after eight consecutive years with heavy hearts, but we know that our boys have obtained a solid foundation for a bright future. We have tremendous love and gratitude for Kirk in the Hills and we will always look upon these golden years fondly.

After moving to Michigan from out of state, we felt so blessed to have found Kirk in the Hills Preschool. Our son has loved going to preschool here. The teachers are so warm and welcoming and provide an enriching environment. It is a strong community and we have met so many wonderful families. The Kirk’s Preschool has been a great place for us these past two years.

Three of our children attended Kirk in the Hills preschool. Over the years that we’ve been coming to Kirk in the Hills, we have been continuously impressed with the director, Pauline Jackson. She is extremely knowledgeable in best child development practices. The teachers educate the children in such warm, nurturing, caring and purposeful ways. The children at Kirk in the Hills have fun learning, and feel safe and loved. My husband and I have been so pleased that our children have experienced Kirk in the Hills Preschool as their first school. We highly recommend this wonderful preschool.

We’ve been nothing but pleased with Kirk in the Hills Preschool for first our daughter and now our son. The experienced, kindhearted staff has fostered a warm environment of learning for our children. The thoughtful, themed lesson plans have introduced our children to age-appropriate topics in creative and engaging ways. The faith-based learning environment is important to us, and our children have enjoyed learning about God through song, prayer and visits from Reverend Tres in the beautiful setting that is the Kirk in the Hills sanctuary. Having had our daughter attend Kirk in the Hills for two years, she was well and truly prepared for the adjustment to kindergarten. We are most pleased though that our daughter looked forward to school each day while at the Kirk and shared her excitement at each school’s day end. Our son is now having a similar positive experience. We look forward to enrolling our third child in a year’s time!

Kirk in the Hills Preschool is a sanctuary where my children thrived in a loving, nurturing environment. Each of my children’s social, emotional and developmental needs was carefully tended to on an individual basis.  I love the fact that the children learned a lot on daily basis, through their play based curriculum! Each of my children has fond memories of their time spent at the Kirk preschool! They will willingly tell you what their favorite thing to do at the Kirk was, such as playing with the sensory table filled with shaving cream! I can’t wait to bring my 4th child there this fall.  The Kirk Preschool is place where a child can truly be a child.

My oldest daughter and my oldest son attended Kirk in the Hills the past 3 years. My youngest son and my youngest daughter are currently at Kirk in the Hills and are very happy to be here. What stands out to me about Kirk in the Hills Preschool is the staff. The teachers are loving, patient and caring. The teachers are very interested in the children and building relationships with their parents, which is very important to me and my husband. I would highly recommend this preschool due to the entire administration being very organized and professional, and for their exceptional teaching programs. I am very confident that my children will be ready for kindergarten once they leave Kirk in the Hills.

We recently moved here from Chicago and heard from several families how wonderful Kirk in the Hills Preschool was. As parents, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the education and love that our son received at Kirk in the Hills. Our youngest was able to attend the 4’s program and later the Junior Kindergarten program and looked forward to coming to school every day!  The nurturing environment in both grades was more than any parent could ask for and helped to make for an easy transition to Michigan.

As a former teacher, I was extremely impressed with the curriculum in both the 4’s and JK programs. The teachers’ passion for teaching was exemplified daily by their creativity in the classroom, and I loved how they always end with a wrap up for parents that explained in detail the day’s activities.  Not only is my son prepared to enter Kindergarten next year academically, he has grown leaps and bounds socially. We will truly miss Kirk in the Hills Preschool! We have come to know the teachers and director as family and they have blessed us in so many ways over the past two years!
